Can I let you in on a little secret?
The day I found dry shampoo, my hair washing days were over. It was way too convenient to wake up late and use that as my excuse to not wash my hair. But in reality, I didn’t like the way my hair looked after washing it. My strands were flat, too soft to style, and lacked moisture.
Washing with shampoo felt more harmful than beneficial.
That is when my life changed, thanks to Soapbox!
As mentioned before, my relationship with shampoo was not the healthiest! Now, I can’t get enough of the Bamboo Shampoo and Conditioner from Soapbox. It’s made of bamboo which is an all-natural volumizing agent. In addition to giving your hair life, it also moisturizes giving your locks body and strength!
The smell of the shampoo makes me feel like I should be on a tropical island somewhere! Which I’m definitely craving during these South Carolina cold and gloomy days.
I’m ashamed to admit this, but my shampoo was always found in a drugstore and usually under five bucks. I didn’t know the importance of natural shampoo. Soapbox uses natural ingredients in their products which means it’s actually healthier to wash your hair with their products.
The Bamboo Strength and Body Shampoo and Conditioner, are thoughtfully crafted. Meaning that all haircare products are cruelty-free, vegan, free of artificial colorants, gluten-free, and paraben free.
I love the thick consistency of the products because they don’t create suds. Basically, you don’t feel like you’re damaging your stands! Clearly, this is something I know all too well.
I finally use hair products that make me look forward to washing my hair every morning. You only need a small amount of each to leave your hair feeling volumized and strong. I have found that for my short hair, I use a quarter size of shampoo and a pea size of conditioner. It has light lather so I wash my hair by finger combing the shampoo from the root to end of my hair. I rinse the Bamboo Shampoo out and follow with the Bamboo Conditioner. Personally, my hair holds lots of moisture so I prefer to use conditioner only once a week.
If you are like me, and only used shampoo and conditioner from the drugstore, you might find your hair needs a few washes to adjust to natural hair products. Adjusting can sometimes lead to more oily strands than normal. This means your hair is adjusting well to natural products. My hair truly feels better than ever since introducing natural products to my hair care regimen.
If you read my previous post about Soapbox Soaps, then you know they are a one-for-one company! So every time you purchase a product, you are donating one too.
Thanks to Soapbox, my bad habit of using harmful shampoo has been cured! I’d love to hear which beauty products you have replaced for a healthier alternative.
